Privacy Policy
GardenLapse ("we") turns a photo of your garden into an AI-generated redesign and a four-seasons film. This privacy policy covers the gardenlapse.com website, the waitlist and the GardenLapse design service itself. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to provide the service. This site is hosted in the EU and this policy follows the GDPR.
Your garden photos and generated content
The photo you upload, the design images we generate from it, the season images and the final film are stored only to create and show you your design. All of it is automatically and permanently deleted 48 hours after generation — download what you want to keep. To generate the designs, your photo is processed by our AI image-processing provider, which acts solely on our behalf; it is never used to train models or for any other purpose.
Pinterest connection (optional)
You can optionally connect your Pinterest account to base your design on your own taste. If you do:
- We only read your own boards and pins, via Pinterest's official OAuth flow. We never post, edit or delete anything on your Pinterest account.
- We store no Pinterest data, no access tokens and no account details.
- The only thing we derive is a style profile used for your garden design — and like everything else, it is deleted after 48 hours.
- The connection is used once, for your session. You can revoke GardenLapse's access at any time in your Pinterest settings.
What else we collect
- Your email address — only if you join the waitlist or place an order.
- Payments — handled entirely by our payment provider Mollie (for iDEAL and card payments). We never see or store your card or bank details; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
- Pseudonymised visit statistics — which pages are viewed, which buttons are clicked and which campaign link brought you here. We use no cookies and store no IP addresses. Visits are counted with a hash that is generated with a secret value that changes every day, so after a day a visit can no longer be traced back to anyone.
- Feedback you send us — the message you write, and your email address if you choose to include it.
What we use it for
- Your photo, your feedback on the designs and (if connected) your Pinterest style profile: generating your garden design, nothing else.
- Your email address: one launch announcement and your order confirmation, nothing else. No newsletter, no reselling, no sharing with third parties.
- Visit statistics: measuring whether there is real interest in GardenLapse, and which price point people prefer.
How long we keep it
- Uploaded photos, generated designs, season images, films and style profiles: 48 hours, then permanently deleted.
- Waitlist emails and visit statistics: until the product launches, and at most 12 months.
- Order records: as long as required by tax law.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see or delete the data we hold about you. Email chris.jager@pinkpollos.com and we'll take care of it.
